Chic ago Tour & River Cruise

Enjoy a full-narrated driving tour of the City of Big Shoulders. Your certified tour guide will point our historic and significant sights. You will see the new Memorial Water Wall, a veteran memorial at Soldier Field and see the beautiful parks along the magnificent lakefront. You will se the Navy Pier, a former Navy training center and now the top attraction in Chicago. You will enjoy a cruise on the Chicago river to learn about the architecture of Chicago awe-inspiring buildings. This is one of the top things to do in the city. You will see its outdoor art, the Magnificent Mile, the stunning new Millennium Park, and the landmark Water Tower that survived the fire. It will truly be a day to remember. Lunch on your own at Navy Pier or gourmet box lunch as you cruise for additional $11.00. $49.00 per person. The group will be back at the hotel at 3:00 p.m.

Great Lakes Navy Recruit Graduation

Enjoy a tour of Great Lakes, an important Navy training center. Authorized in 1904 Great Lakes Naval Training Center welcomed its first recruit in July 1911. During WWI, the base was a major recruit center and in WWII, Great Lakes was one of the Navy's most important centers for both basic and advanced training. You will see historical buildings designed by Jarvis Hunt, a noted architect, in the Romanesque style. Hunt used the motif of the bow of a sailing ship in the buildings. It can be seen above the doors. You will be met by a representative from Great Lakes, have a narrated tour of the base and attend a graduation ceremony. You will enjoy an American Deli Buffet lunch in the Port O'Call restaurant with magnificent view of the lake. $52.00 per person. The group will be back at the hotel at 1:30 p.m.
